Vengeance Video

Dear Carly,
Vengeance has always been one of my favorite songs. It was also one of the very first videos I ever saw on MTV. The video is phenomenal - in my opinion ranking among the sexiest ever. And it's virtually just a filmed performance! Who among us can forget how hot you looked whipping off your policeman's hat and tossing your tresses around. The stuff of fantasies, I'm hear to tell you!

Do you have any memories of those early days when MTV first went on the air? Any pressure from the record company to start making videos for the release of your singles? Is that a 'couch' story, carefully couched in compliments? No. I was dating him AFTERWARDS. Yes, it was a performance that was filmed on a sound stage. It was nice to see that it is remembered as ground breaking. Thanks for writing. Love, Carly - 6/4/03
