Moonlight Serenade - part 2?
Hi Carly,
I'm 71 years old and love listening to Peggy Lee, Jo Stafford, Margret Whiting, etc. I just purchased your album "Moonlight Serenade". Well...I can't tell you how much I enjoy it. I'm in love with Carly Simon. Your voice and the songs are perfect...Thank you for letting us old timers enjoy these songs sung by you... Please tell me you will have a follow-up album to this one. Thank you again for this beautiful album...Each song has a special memory for me.
Frank Patti - Staten Island, Ny
Dear Frank,
I'm so glad you like Moonlight Serenade! It was so much fun to record and these are my songs from my childhood too. My mother and father played the piano and sang them and I listened from my bed or as I danced around the room with my sisters.
So romantic. Probably a romantic notion that is a bit over the top!!! If enough people buy this recording, there will be a follow-up, so tell your friends and neighbors!!!! With love, Carly - 9/28/05
Untitled Music on Letters Never Sent
Carly! You and your music have always been an inspiration to my life. Thank you! I keep forgetting to ask this question.... On the CD 'Letters Never Sent'. Did you include a little extra 'something', musically, before the 'Intoduction' song? Every time I play that CD it always begins with what I call, a Latin guitar musical piece. Then, it will play the 'Introduction' piece, which is listed on the songlist. If it is a little extra 'something special' you put on the CD, did you play the guitar in it? Michael Finch - Yuma, Arizona
Michael,
This is the first time I've ever been asked this question! Yes, it is a little something that was recorded for a different version I had for the song. Lots of tid bits get recorded in the studio during the process and this one I loved as a quirky bit of fun and we decided to give it a special place, not one that many people would find.
Glad that you did! Love, Carly - 9/21/05
