The Power Being Writing A Song

Dear Carly,

I just left work a short while ago and had the new Andreas Vollenweider cd in the car "MIDNIGHT CLEAR" when track 10 (Forgive) came on. It just brought me to another place. The song is so powerful and the lyrics so profound your voice seems to breath them into the melody. Did you ever feel that Something Else had brought a song to life and you were just the messenger ?

I have been listening to your music since your first hit and just wanted to "Thank You" for the
constant effort you make to amaze us all!

With love,
Bill Powe - Stratford, CT

Dear Bill,

Many times I have felt another power giving me the gift in the for of a message or melody. Sometimes it is a collaborator (Andreas, in this case). Usually though it is an emotion which doesn't even have time to fixate itself or develop an attitude toward it, that creates a spontaneous pulse through which thoughts and music come.

Thanks for asking. Love, Carly 12/21/06
